LimenLab works with environmental and community organisations such as the Kaipatiki Project and Natural Environment Defense Foundation, to devise and deliver creative encounters in nature for their services users, volunteers, and supporters. Workshop participants are guided through the forest environment by a botanical expert who can inform people about a variety of habitats and identify different tree and plant species, also advising how to carefully gather interesting materials for use in the art section of the workshop. We then move to a hands-on workshop in monotype printing and colour theory to explore the plant materials creatively and make prints to take home. No prior experience necessary and all materials are provided due to the generosity of several funding organisations who are intersted in supporting this work.
